Urban Copenhagen Leisure Spaces
In the heart of Copenhagen, a new residential development wanted to transform its shared courtyard into a warm, active, community-driven space.
Lithos was commissioned to design and build durable stone elements that encourage play, gathering, and everyday use.
The ping-pong tables were carved from solid, frost-resistant stone blocks and finished with a textured surface to provide grip in all seasons. The project includes custom-fabricated stone ping-pong tables, monolithic benches, and integrated relaxation platforms. Each piece was engineered to withstand harsh Nordic weather while aging beautifully over time.
Seating blocks were positioned between planted zones, forming natural gathering pockets shielded from wind.
All pieces were fabricated in our workshop, then transported and installed on site with millimeter precision.
The completed courtyard feels calm and communal — a rare combination of playful energy and Scandinavian restraint.
Lithos collaborated closely with the landscape architects to ensure that every stone element supports the flow of the courtyard — creating places to meet, rest, play, or simply pass through.
The stone pieces brought the courtyard to life. People gather, kids play, and the quality is unmistakable. Lithos delivered craftsmanship that will last for decades.
