Shoreline Recidence near Atlantic
A private cliffside villa in coastal Portugal, created for a client who wanted a refined, contemporary home that still felt deeply connected to surf culture, nature, and the slow rhythm of Atlantic living.
Set above the dunes and facing uninterrupted ocean views, the Portugal Surfing Villa balances soft minimalism with natural materials. Large sliding openings extend the kitchen and living spaces into the landscape, while custom stonework grounds the interior in warmth and permanence.
The project combines pale microcement flooring with warm cabinetry and a series of custom-fabricated stone elements: a sculpted kitchen island, a monolithic bathroom block, and hand-set terrazzo in tones inspired by Portuguese cliffs.
Timeless enough
Every surface was designed to feel tactile, durable, and timeless enough to withstand both sun and salt-air.
The outdoor areas use textured limestone pavers that continue visually into the pool deck, creating a seamless transition from interior to exterior.
The villa was built for real daily use—boards rinsed at the entry, sand brushed off, windows open to the wind. Minimal, but never precious.
The craftsmanship is on another level. Everything feels calm, honest, and built to last. It’s exactly how I wanted my home to live—with the ocean, not against it.
