Lithos has been appointed to lead the stone surfaces for a major new development in Dubai, working with a regional architecture studio and an international developer. The project combines hospitality, residential and public spaces, with stone defining much of the ground plane and key interior volumes. From the earliest conversations, the brief focused on calmness, coherence and a disciplined material palette that would stand apart from the visual noise of the surrounding city. Our role is to shape a stone language that supports this intention over many thousands of square metres.
Scope across public and private spaces
The commission includes large scale arrival areas, lobby halls, circulation zones, suites and a series of rooftop and terrace spaces. Each zone requires a different balance of tone, texture and movement, while still feeling part of a single architectural family. Wide, monolithic slabs will anchor the public floors and reception desks. Quieter stones will support more intimate areas such as lounges and guest rooms. Our team will guide material curation, digital templating, custom fabrication and installation, ensuring that every surface aligns with the geometry of the architecture and the demands of the climate.
Collaboration through the Dubai studio
The Dubai office will act as a coordination hub for the project, hosting working sessions with architects, developers and contractors throughout the design and construction phases. Detailed BIM models, mock ups and on site reviews will structure each stage, from early feasibility to final handover. For Lithos, the project represents a long term commitment in the region and an opportunity to demonstrate how disciplined stonework can bring a sense of quiet structure to a large scale environment.
