A quiet milestone for the studio
Co founder and Creative Director Amelia Chen completed the Madrid Marathon this spring. It was her first full distance run in Europe and a personal project shaped by discipline, balance and long term focus. These qualities mirror the way she approaches material development and creative direction at Lithos.
Endurance as a form of practice
Training for the marathon demanded the same patience that guides her work with stone, surfaces and proportion. Long runs became a space to think about rhythm, clarity and the structure behind a project. The finish line reflected more than athletic effort, it showed a way of working that values consistency over speed.
Supported by Lithos
The studio sponsored her entry and preparation. It was a simple way to recognise the importance of personal pursuits in shaping professional clarity. Strong ideas often grow from environments where people are allowed to explore their own forms of discipline.
Looking ahead
Amelia returns to the Madrid headquarters with renewed energy. Her marathon experience will inform upcoming material research sessions, design reviews and collaborations with architects across Europe.
